Lela’s cafe & brunch sits quietly on Bank Street in Bradford, offering a cozy spot for a laid-back breakfast or brunch that blends Middle Eastern influences with classic all-day breakfast choices. While the café isn’t large inside, the intimate space is thoughtfully put together with simple but calming touches—soft gold and green tones that make it easy to settle in, whether you’re meeting a friend or grabbing a quick solo bite.

The café’s menu caters well to those who appreciate freshly prepared food with an attention to detail. Options range from a Full English and Vegetarian Breakfast to more adventurous plates like the Middle East Breakfast or Lela’s Special Breakfast, which seem to be local favorites for a hearty start. For something sweet, the Berry French Toast offers a seasonal touch, while their range of milkshakes—flavors like Kinder Bueno, Pistachio, and even Avocado—stand out as a playful twist on classic café treats.

Locals tend to visit here for a casual morning or early afternoon meal rather than a rushed coffee stop. The kitchen prepares every dish fresh while you wait, which means the service is attentive, though not hurried. This makes it a good spot to relax and linger over breakfast or brunch, especially if you enjoy Middle Eastern dishes like shakshuka or falafel, which seem to resonate well with regular visitors.

The atmosphere is unpretentious and warm, with staff who remember guests and offer thoughtful service without being intrusive. There is limited indoor seating, but outdoor tables allow some breathing room when the weather permits, adding to the easygoing vibe that fits well with Bradford’s diverse neighborhood around Bank Street.

This café balances comfort and quality, making it well-suited for locals wanting a dependable breakfast option with a twist, or visitors looking to try something that’s a bit different from the usual café fare. Mornings and weekends tend to be the best times to drop by for a relaxed breakfast experience in a welcoming, community-oriented setting.

Overall, a really good cafe. Me and my partner went there for breakfast and it did not disappoint at all!! Very delicious food, quick and attentive service. The only downside that can be ignored was that they served my Latte last but no biggie as I was still eating my food anyways. I ordered a Stuffed Croissant, Chicken Caesar Salad and a latte. Both dishes were amazing especially the chicken which was very flavoured and well cooked. My partner had ordered a berry toast with nutella drizzle, also very delicious and aesthetic looking. Will definitely come back and try their other dishes!

I don’t often enjoy falafel, but I enjoyed (and finished) these falafels. We visited last month also when I had the Shakshuka - also good. I have some minor quibbles about how the prices on the print menu do not match with the menu display - but you can easily communicate and clarify that with the serving staff. Sometimes you eat somewhere and you can tell the chef really cares about the food they’re preparing for you - and that’s very much the case here.

One of the best places in bradford for middle eastern food when you are after a quick bite. Everything is freshly made whilst you wait. The fresh drinks are refreshing. Its not very big inside but has some seating outside aswell, gas a very cosy atmosphere. The staff do look after you. The special breakfast is probably my favourite. Prices are very reasonable. Will definitely be visiting again whenever in town

Impeccable care and love went into the preparation of everything and such caring service. Everything was freshly made with a lovely balance of flavours. The fresh fruit juices really hit the spot too. They even gave baklava on the house and that was also beautifully crafted and not overly sweet, well balanced, fresh and flavourful! We cleaned our plates completely! I would definitely come back again especially for the chai karak!

Had a great experience at Lela's Cafe & Brunch. I ordered the chicken fajita meal which was really tasty, and the decor was simple and relaxing with gold and green tones. Shazia was friendly and very helpful during my visit. I also tried the Turkish coffee, not my usual preference but it was well made. Overall a lovely café with good food and welcoming service.

Hidden gem . Such a lovely place! Food was absolutely beautiful and flavoursome, got the protein boost and the chicken caeser salad - both packed flavour, freshness...each bite a delight. Fresh juices were probably the best we've had and the coffees exquisite. Cannot fault the service and speed of how quick the food came out. Will certainly be back!

Shawarma was good, the chicken had good authentic flavour, could taste the spices and a bit of that smoky grill. The tahina and pickles gave it a nice mix between creamy and sharp and the saj bread was soft and fresh, not dry like some places do. Beef burger was solid, juicy, seasoned right and could actually taste the meat. Just good food done properly. Fresh ingredients and freshly made. Staff were great, smiling etc. I believe the chefs were of middle eastern background but unsure EXCUSE THE RUBBISH PICTURE IV TOOK
